Build sustainably with certifications

Sustainability certifications of urban areas and buildings are an important contribution to the sustainable development of our cities and society as a whole. Certifications are valuable in that they make the sustainable qualities of a construction project measurable and documentable.

These are well-proven systems and methods that identify the sustainable potential of a construction project, and the certifications provide the framework for a constructive dialogue with the client. The various certification schemes set requirements for a project’s social, environmental, economic, technical and process qualities – often in a way that increases the economic value of a building or area.

Our experts and auditors have many certifications under their belts

Sweco is the leading consultancy firm within DGNB certifications in Denmark. In terms of urban areas and buildings, our consultants have completed more DGNB certifications than any other firm in Denmark. We also help our clients certify projects in accordance with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, LEED, BREEAM and ‘Den Frivillige Bæredygtighedsklasse’ – the voluntary sustainability class.

Our certification experts and auditors have many certifications under their belts. They know what is required, and they understand the potential which certifications hold – socially, environmentally, technically, procedurally and economically.

As a market leader, our ambition is to leverage our knowledge and experience to educate and develop the market so we are the obvious choice for sustainability certifications – now and in future.

Our solid experience with certifications gears us professionally for working with the EU’s taxonomy for green investments in renovations and new developments.
