Sweco is the new strategic developer consultancy for The Danish Ministry of Defence Estate Agency
Until 2028, Sweco will help ensure a common thread in the strategic focus areas of the Danish Ministry of Defence Estate Agency, including developer consultancy and services within sustainability, health and safety coordination and estate portfolio consultancy.
As a developer consultancy, Sweco will ensure consistency in the coming strategic focus areas across the various building types of the Danish Defence. Buildings spread across more than 500 locations in Denmark, the Faroe Islands and Greenland, ranging from state-of-the-art buildings like the rescue station, Redningsstation Skagen, to Danish heritage buildings like the citadel, Kastellet.
“We are pleased to contribute to this important task of the Danish Ministry of Defence Estate Agency in upgrading and further developing the physical frameworks for the Danish Defence. I am proud that the Estate Agency has entrusted us with the task due to our cross-disciplinary approach to problem solving. Sweco’s strength is our many specialisations and the ability to integrate them into a cross-disciplinary consultancy on technical as well as strategic levels. With this approach, we look forward to supporting the Danish Ministry of Defence Estate Agency for the next four years,” says Dariush Rezai, CEO of Sweco.
Developer consultancy is rooted in Sweco’s business area for Existing Building & Consultants, headed by Director Henrik Leksø
“We look forward to providing competent developer consultancy for a client like the Danish Ministry of Defence Estate Agency. As a developer consultancy, it’s crucial to build a good and trusting partnership, and I’m convinced that we will succeed in doing just that, while ensuring that our experience from specific projects will benefit future projects,” says Henrik Leksø.
Project services include developer consultancy, as well as services in areas such as sustainability, health and safety coordination and estate portfolio consultancy. This collaboration will span for four years starting in May 2024, with an expected budget of DKK 160 million and a maximum budget of DKK 240 million.
