Design Manager for Water & Energy Infrastructure

Civil & Process Engineering is a dynamic team of experts in the Energy department, dedicated to advancing sustainable solutions. Our project portfolio includes water infrastructure such as pumping stations, reservoirs, water and wastewater facilities, and climate change adaptations; and energy infrastructure like waste to energy, bio energy, carbon capture, and power-to-x. We experience a strong growth in both areas and are looking to strengthen our expertise with skilled professionals that value high technical standards and quality in their work.

As a Design Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our projects, ensuring their successful execution from concept to completion. You will collaborate with clients, multidisciplinary design teams, and project stakeholders to deliver innovative and efficient solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated solutions for complex engineering challenges from concept to completion.
• Engage with clients and project stakeholders to understand their needs, develop project scopes, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide guidance on engineering principles, sustainable practices, and emerging technologies (e.g., CCS, P2X).
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of design deliverables.
• Identify and mitigate design-related risks. Monitor project progress and address any deviations promptly.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Lead and mentor a team of designers, ensuring their professional growth and project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental science, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in infrastructure design.
• Proficiency in relevant software (Revit, Dalux, MS Project, etc.).
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
