Internal sustainability at Sweco<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

At Sweco, we help our clients daily to design tomorrow\u2019s sustainable cities and communities, but sustainability is also a factor in terms of running our own business. Consequently, we have set ambitious goals and make sustainable choices, for example when it comes to our buildings, offices and canteen operations, travel and company car agreements.<\/p>\n

Our in-house climate goals are:<\/p>\n

– We will be 100% carbon-neutral and achieve complete climate-neutrality by 2040 at the latest<\/p>\n

– By 2030, we will have reduced our carbon emissions by 60%.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n \t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n

By comparison, the political ambition in Denmark is to achieve carbon-neutrality by 2050, while the desired reduction in carbon emissions in the 2020-2030 period is 56% according to the national plan. Sweco is thus making a positive contribution as a climate frontrunner to the green transition in Denmark.<\/p>\n

Since 2017, Sweco Denmark has realised significant reductions in its carbon emissions. Our head office in \u00d8restad is DGNB Gold-certified, we only use certified green electricity from wind power in all our offices, and we have disposed of water in plastic bottles in all offices to name just a few initiatives.<\/p>\n

First climate accounts being published in 2021<\/h2>\n

In January 2021, Denmark and all the other Sweco countries will deliver the first set of climate accounts, which will be published with the Sweco group\u2019s annual report. Working with the 2020 climate accounts has given us a greater insight into which focus areas will give the greatest climate effect. Action plans to achieve our climate goals year by year will, together with our internal sustainability initiatives, ensure that Sweco Denmark becomes 100% climate-neutral during the next 20 years.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n
