The increasing interaction between sectors driven by the green transformation allows for a more flexible and dynamic energy system with the potential to integrate renewable energy sources.<\/p>\n

Sector coupling is key to the successful integration of renewable energy into the energy system and our district heating system, but also offers the possibility of using the gas grid as a storage in methanation. In terms of PtX, we are looking into how we can use renewable energy sources to produce fuel for aircraft.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n \t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n

Electrification and heat pumps
\n<\/strong>We advise developers on heat pumps and electrification and offer services covering system design, requirements specifications, project execution and follow-up, among other things.\u00a0 We explore new energy sources for heat pumps such as cold drinking water, wastewater, geothermal energy or other sources and combine them with heat pumps powered by renewable energy. We can assist with everything from project plans, business cases, requirements and tender documents as well as subsequent construction management, supervision and commissioning.<\/p>\n

PtX and hydrogen [keywords: P2X, P2G, P2L]
\n<\/strong>Power-to-X technologies are key to the green transformation as they help to reduce carbon emissions from heavy transport such as aircraft, ships and trucks. The technologies also help to balance the growing share of fluctuating power production from wind and solar, in particular. Hydrogen, nitrogen and carbon from, for example, biogas combustion are combined into the desired green products and fuels such as ammonia, e-methane and other electrofuels.<\/p>\n

We are part of this development and advise not only on feasibility studies and analyses but also act as consultants to the developer in connection with implementation. Furthermore, we advise on infrastructure, production and operation.<\/p>\n

CCS and CCU
\n<\/strong>Carbon capture and storage (CCS) and carbon capture and usage (CCU) are vital to the green transformation, especially in the heavy transport sector. The technologies are used in waste incineration and other key incineration plants to limit the impact on the environment and meet national and international climate commitments. As one of Europe\u2019s largest operators with consultancy offices in all Western European countries, we benefit from the experience and expertise of our many European colleagues which enables us to cover all fields and needs.<\/p>\n

Conversion, storage and flexibility
\n<\/strong>Technologies for conversion and storage of all types of energy will play an increasingly important role in our green transformation. Converting and storing our energy carriers gives us the flexibility needed to handle the fluctuating power production from wind and solar. The conversion of green power to hydrogen will especially be achieved by means of PtX technologies. We guide our clients through the transition to a new energy system by drawing on the experience and expertise of our colleagues in Europe.<\/p>\n

Transport (electrofuels)
\n<\/strong>Decarbonisation of the transport sector is key to meeting climate commitments and goals. Hydrogen and electrofuels are produced using PtX technologies and are expected to play a vital role in the decarbonisation of aircraft, ships and heavy road transport. In addition to working with our sister companies in Europe, we also work closely with universities and other educational institutions and participate in development and demonstration projects. In addition to advising on specific projects, we also help to drive the development.<\/p>\n

Agriculture, industry etc.
\n<\/strong>We need to take urgent action to combat the effects of climate change in areas such as agriculture, land use and industry. Through sector coupling with the energy sector in particular, we contribute insight and advice from a climate perspective. Ammonia produced by means of PtX technologies can be utilised in the agricultural sector for fertilizer purposes, land use for afforestation and\/or biomass applications, but also directly in our energy sector through the use of straw and biomass for cogeneration.<\/p>\n

In the future, surplus heat from industry must be put to better use in the heat sector by means of heat pumps. We also contribute to the integration of the water sector, where large heat pumps utilise available thermal energy (ATES plants), wastewater and drinking water.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n
