11 new townhouses in the new Herning district

On the former hospital grounds in Herning the new district Herning + is rising. In 2018 Sweco won the competition as architects in connection with the development of a larger residential area with apartment buildings, youth housing, high-rise buildings, shops and townhouses. The first step towards the realization of the new district is 11 independent townhouses.

The townhouses in Herning + is inspired by one of Herning’s oldest buildings – the hospital building – and are adapted with reddish bricks and detailed facades, thus playing beautifully with the area’s existing red hospital buildings from the 20th century.
