Greensquare Garden

Greensquare Garden was inspired by the district’s diverse building typologies and its historical industrial background. Each building unit has its own architectural identity with varying heights, brick colours, grout colouring and balcony types, which breaks up the facades into smaller units while creating a more varied overall look for the development as a whole.

Greensquare Garden has been built using natural, robust and high-quality materials. On the ground floor the brickwork features special detailing at selected locations, giving it a lively and welcoming feel.

Greensquare Garden has two, three and four-bedroom flats – all made from light, modern and friendly materials. Each flat has its own private balcony with views of the surrounding area – several with views across the Sound – while flats on the ground floors have direct access to patios and communal outdoor areas. The flats have been designed with large living rooms that take full advantage of the daylight.

Public park and charming courtyards

A public park has been created with large activity areas, seating and barbecue sites for all the residents in the district to enjoy. The spaces between the buildings have been formed to create intimate courtyard areas for the residents, with private terraces, green recreational areas, playgrounds, bicycle parking facilities and refuse and recycling stations.

There is a large basement under the entire development, with parking, storage rooms and technical installations.

Sustainable housing

In designing Greensquare Garden, particular attention was given to the indoor climate, the outdoor areas, daylight conditions and using certified building materials, and indoor environment-labelled paint and certified wood have been used throughout the development. This has resulted in the development being pre-certified for a sustainable DGNB gold award. The DGNB system covers all key aspects of sustainable building: building processes and technology as well as environmental, sociocultural and economic aspects.
