Mechanical and electrical engineering

A good indoor climate comprises a number of parameters which in the aggregate provide a good experience. In addition, a good indoor climate is a long-term investment which increases a building’s value and provides better conditions for its users. Sweco’s installation experts can ensure that buildings are fitted with the right type of ventilation, temperature controls, fire protection and electrical installations, and that all these technical installations comply with Danish law. Sweco’s experts are certified to carry out energy labelling, and we advise on energy optimisation aimed at reducing carbon emissions.

Fire engineering and risk analysis

Sweco is an esteemed partner who provides reliable solutions based on practical fire-fighting experience, combined with the theoretical knowledge of fire-safety engineers.

Regardless of project type, fire-protection advice provided by Sweco ensures that fire-protection measures are adapted to each project. Dialogue is the preferred course of action to make sure that fire-protection principles comply with project needs and budgets in the best possible way.

Our portfolio comprises more than 500 projects implemented with function-based fire-protection engineering since 2004. Amongst our fire-safety consultants some have a fire-inspector background, which enables us to provide advice on reliable, robust solutions, regardless of whether the fire protection is implemented according to traditional principles or more flexible analytical dimensioning.

Sweco’s fire-safety consultants can provide consultancy in basically every area relating to the fire protection of buildings and manufacturing facilities – both new construction and existing buildings.

Sweco can assist in:

  • Working out a fire-protection strategy, initiating dialogue with the authorities, and drafting fire-protection documentation, cf. the Building Code, to obtain a building permit
  • Ongoing project clarification in the main project and the drafting of operating, control and maintenance plans (OCM plan) relating to occupancy
  • Providing evacuation analyses and simulations of smoke formation, temperature increases and heat radiation
