The new Regionshus in Malmö, Dockplatsen 26, is a newly-built office building housing 600 workplaces.  With the help of the “Design Dialogue” user process, Sweco’s interior architects studied the various cultures and approaches of the administrative units.

This process resulted in an open, flexible office layout with important related support functions, such as meeting rooms, etc. A central lighting shaft serves as the gathering point in the building and all break-related functions revolve around it. The idea is to encourage meetings between departments and people to heighten an awareness of one another’s skills, thus enabling collaboration and openness.

The office building also has a conference centre, exhibition space, reception rooms and a canteen seating 200. Sweco Architects was responsible for the interior architecture of the entire building.
