Size: 3,600 m²
Client: Volito Fastigheter AB and Danske Bank
Sweco Architects’ team of interior designers and historic-building experts were responsible for converting, laying out and furnishing the former post office in Malmö – a building deemed worthy of preservation. It now houses a full-service branch of Danske Bank, which provides financing to both the business community and private customers.
The project design focuses on the strict requirements imposed on banks. Accordingly, it was crucial for the project to radiate professionalism and restraint, which is reflected in the colour scheme. The project also gave high priority to high-quality materials and elegant details. It was important to manifest competent service and quick responses and to provide a setting for instilling the trust needed between bank and customer. At the same time, it was important to ensure efficient, service-oriented workflows.
Besides the customer service area, the four-storey building also houses offices, meeting rooms, lounges and a staff canteen.
Sweco was responsible for user-involvement and design engineering.
